The Innovation Systems Design program is a rigorous two-year, project-based education for those who see the value in applying design-thinking methodology to business culture in order to create a better future.

Responding to rapid technological change that caused tectonic shifts and accelerated global competition in today’s marketplace, Art Center College of Design and CGU are offering a one-of-a-kind dual MS/MBA degree in Innovation Systems Design (ISD). The program combines the Drucker School of Management’s strategy, leadership, and management acumen with the rigorous development of creative skills and design innovation methodology found in Art Center’s Graduate Industrial Design program in order to best prepare tomorrow’s innovation leaders.

Business Analytics I

Introduces statistical methodology to think critically about real world issues, with specific application to problems of business and economics, including risk management, forecasting, optimization, and statistical inference.

Marketing Management

Examines the process of strategic marketing management and provides tools and methods to examine marketing environments, understand consumer and organizational buying behavior, develop and promote new products, manage existing products, and more.

Financial Accounting

Introduces financial accounting—the language of business—from the perspective of the user/manager, with particular focus on basic rules governing the preparation of financial statements and the flexibility that exists within these rules.

MGT 335
Corporate Finance

Develops understanding of financial decision making—including investment decisions, financing decisions, and their interaction—and examines the underlying framework of corporate finance, including valuation, market efficiency, portfolio theory, agency costs, and information costs.

Strategy

Explores how general managers enhance and sustain business performance through the development of robust judgments in the face of uncertainty and complexity.

Drucker Philosophy

Focuses on the key principles of Peter F. Drucker, from leading self, organizations, and businesses to the broader functioning of society itself.
