Master of Music in Performance Pedagogy (MM)

The Master of Music in Piano Performance Pedagogy program provides advanced training in performance practice, teaching methods, pedagogical research, professional development, and entrepreneurial leadership in both individual and group teaching settings. Graduates are well-trained in innovative teaching tools with marketable teaching experience and solid academic or business career paths.

Performance Pedagogy curriculum includes Applied Piano Lessons, Collaborative Piano, Direct Study-Performance Pedagogy, Music History, Keyboard Literature, and a Graduate Recital. 

Graduate Assistantships are available for qualified students. Graduate Assistant duties typically include teaching group piano classes and performances in collaborative settings. The candidates in this program have opportunities to teach in the UL Lafayette Piano Institute program.
