Outcomes

A student who completes a mathematical sciences degree should be able to:

  • Demonstrate competence in differential and integral calculus (single and multivariable), and related concepts and applications.
  • Demonstrate competence in communicating mathematics in both oral and written form with clarity, precision and logic.
  • Demonstrate competence in abstract, logical and critical thinking to construct mathematical proofs that are clear, correct, precise and complete.
  • Demonstrate competence in linear algebra and related applications.
  • Demonstrate competence in probability and statistics.
  • Demonstrate competence in the use of technology to support mathematical reasoning, modeling, and problem
