Flexible Scheduling

This asynchronous, online program features courses scheduled in seven-week modules that fully accommodate tax season. This unique scheduling approach allows a student to choose whether to complete the program in a single year by attending full-time or to complete the program in two years attending part-time. For working professionals, the Fall B term and Spring B term allow them to complete the program while largely avoiding academic obligations during the fall and spring tax seasons.

Add Opportunities and Experiences

Lubin's online MS in Taxation offers critical foundational skills with respect to business tax issues, such as financial and managerial accounting, the legal environment of businesses, fundamental tax concepts, and property sale and exchange. From there students are able to choose from a variety of courses that provide specialized insight into all aspects of tax practice.

Graduates of the program are well-prepared to quantify risk and predict shifts in tax environments. Every professor who teaches in the program is credentialed in tax practice (CPA or LLM) with years of full-time practice in the tax field.

CPAs, attorneys, and those who have completed undergraduate studies in accounting and law will find the curriculum particularly flexible and relevant in taking their career to the next level. You can complete this program in two years while working full-time or in as little as one year as a full-time student.

"People think that when studying accounting or taxation all we do is sit down and work on problems or calculations; that's not the case at all. I'm writing formal memorandums on court cases, on fact patterns that I was given, and trying to figure out what the outcome should be and who should win—the government or the taxpayer, and things like that."

—Megan Ehrlich ’15, Senior Tax Accountant, Citrin Cooperman
