What You’ll Study

Explore, refine, and push the limits of your artistic skill and talent. Our majors participate in ensembles, take lessons from our outstanding faculty, and hear their compositions performed live every semester. Study and perform in our brand-new Gambrell Center for the Arts and Civic Engagement, featuring the state-of-the-art Sandra Levine Theatre. As you work closely with faculty mentors who are well-connected locally, nationally, and internationally, you will interact with world-class visiting artists like Sutton Foster, Voces8, Pentatonix, and others who regularly come to campus.

Through these relationships and your courses, you will come to understand the rich history and fundamentals of music and hone your artistic abilities. As a result, you will soon find yourself a dynamic musician prepared to achieve excellence in your professional career.  

Concentrations – Vocal Performance, Vocal Pedagogy, Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, Guitar Performance, Guitar Pedagogy and Composition. 

Double-Majoring in Music and Arts Leadership and Management – Students interested in careers in arts administration have the option to double-major in Music and Arts Leadership and Management.
