Joshua Lander, DC

Adjunct Professor, Exercise Science
Professor Lander, who has taught at SHU for more than a decade, is a full-time clinician in private practice for 23 years. He regularly mentors SHU interns at his rehab clinic, has published original research on Parkinson’s disease and recently completed data collection on the relationship between specific cognitive domains and gait.

Elizabeth Simmons, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Communication Disorders
Undergraduate and graduate students assist on Dr. Simmons’ National Institutes of Health-funded grant, “Behavioral and Neural Measures of Spoken Word Recognition in Late Language Emergence.” Her team in the Toddler Language Development Laboratory uses electroencephalography, machine learning analyses and other neuroscience and developmental psychology techniques to better understand how toddlers with and without language delays comprehend words.
