Interested in a landscape architecture degree?
Landscape architecture applies artistic, cultural, scientific and technical knowledge and skills to the analysis, design, planning, development and management of land. This major is structured around a dynamic design studio sequence and classroom learning environment. Core classes and design studios are complemented by courses in the natural and social sciences and the arts and humanities.
Students pursuing a landscape architecture degree develop an appreciation and understanding of natural and social processes, a creative imagination, technical expertise and a commitment to preserve or improve the physical environment for human use and enjoyment, as well as the protection of resources and other life forms on the planet.
Graduates of the four-and-a-half-year landscape architecture program earn a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) degree, which is accredited by the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board. Students can opt for a five-year dual degree program, which combines the accredited BLA with a master’s degree.
