About the University
Created in 1904 under the name of Ecole Breguet, ESIEE Paris has immediately distinguished itself as a graduate school of engineering focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. One of its most renowned former students is Marcel Dassault, founder of one of the very first industrial groups, the Dassault Aviation group. A more recent graduate, Yann LeCun, is behind the current artificial intelligence revolution. He invented the profound learning process and both founded and directed the Facebook laboratory for artificial intelligence. ESIEE Paris was also recognized as the first engineering school from which French entrepreneurs graduated at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
About the programme
The Master in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (AIC) is a two-year programme entirely taught in English.
Aim
The objective of this programme is to train computer engineers with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
Program
During the first year, the programme focuses on fundamental courses in computer science, artificial intelligence and Cybersecurity. The content of the first year is divided in 3 blocks, with 120 hours dedicated to AI, 120 hours dedicated to Cybersecurity, and 120 hours where students can also broaden their knowledge through elective courses.
During the second year, the students strengthen their knowledge in advanced fields of artificial intelligence and Cybersecurity through courses focusing on recent application of AI and Cybersecurity in computer engineering, the use of AI techniques in Cybersecurity and the safety and security of applications incorporating AI.
At the end of each year, students are required to conduct a development or research internship with either a company or a research laboratory.
After the completion of this Master, students may begin a career in a company or undertake a PhD in the domains of computer science, AI, and Cybersecurity.
The courses are taught by faculty members that belong to research organizations such as CNRS and INRIA and also by teachers coming from the industry.
Degree Awarded
Master’s degree – Diplôme d’ingénieur ESIEE Paris – Accredited by « Ministry of higher education and research » and « Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur »
Our Master programmes are internationally recognized through the European Higher Education System (The Bologna Process). These degrees enable graduates to pursue doctoral studies. The Gustave Eiffel University, of which ESIEE Paris is a founding member, has been included in the renowned Shanghai 2020 ranking since its creation, joining the 1,000 best universities in the world and the 30 best French institutions.
Applications
Requirements: Non-European students: > 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
European students (EU): License (L3), Master 1 (M1) or equivalent.
During my 1st year, I was both intrigued by Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. This master was the perfect trade-off for me.
We are a class of 30 students mixing French students from ESIEE with international students. Our courses are fully taught in English. Only a few subjects are mandatory, we are free to choose the others according to our own preferences. Hence, we can either study both branch, or decide to specialize in one in particular.
