 Among other courses, the theoretical fields to be covered include Music History, Folk Music, Contemporary Culture, Analysis, but students also visit concerts and take part in composition practices. The objective of the major subject (Solo Singing) course is to establish a repertoire for the students, adequate to their vocal types and also to develop their musical expression skills, knowledge on styles and recital skills. Several courses also develop a variety of skills related to acting.

  4. Once the application fee (EUR100) has been received, applications will begin to be processed.

In all cases, the international relations coordinator forwards the application materials to the relevant admission committee. If the committee decides that on the basis of the application material the applicant should take an oral exam, the applicant will be interviewed in person or via Skype. A Skype interview will be conducted if the applicant's attendance is impeded and the examination committee offers them the opportunity to be interviewed via Skype. Applicants are given two possible dates for the interview, taking into account any time zone differences.

 

 

To apply to this program, you must have a BA degree in classical singing or in a related field.

If the applicant does not have a language proficiency certificate, but on the basis of the oral entrance examination their language proficiency is sufficient to complete the relevant programme, the entrance examination committee may waive this criterion.

Other requirements:

  1. Portfolio – Uncut recording of the applicant performing the following pieces of music:
  • 5 arias of at least two different periods of style
  • 2 songs (Schumann, Schubert or Liszt)
  • 1 poem performed in the applicant’s own mother tongue or any other freely chosen language

The Committee also assesses the applicant ‘s stage aptitude.
