Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering program engages students in innovative research areas. These range from the design and analysis of high performance computing systems to new research frontiers on smart power grids, metamaterials, biomedical signal processing, and communication systems. World-class faculty allow students to join them in research opportunities from U.S. federally funded agencies, including the National Science Foundation and Office of Naval Research.

The interdisciplinary curriculum gives students the option to choose between eight concentrations:

  • Communications, Control, and Signal Processing
  • Computer Networks and Security
  • Computer Systems and Software
  • Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Algorithms
  • Electromagnetics, Plasma, and Optics
  • Microsystems, Materials, and Devices
  • Power Systems
  • Hardware and Software for Machine Intelligence
