About the program

The junior architects acquire skills that make them capable to design structures from simple buildings to robust methods, and to cooperate in the design process from the urban to the technological scale. Thus, the graduates may be recruited to work for architecture studios, design firms and in public bodies and private entities in construction and civil engineering. Further junior architects have expertise as surveyors and map designers both in contemporary and historical buildings. This program has been a QS TOP 50 School of Architecture.

The bachelor’s degree trains junior architects for the following job descriptions:

  • CIVIL CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN
  • ARCHITECTURAL AND TERRITORIAL SURVEYING TECHNICIAN

The degree course is organised in six semesters, with the opportunity to carry out part of the learning process abroad. The topics are:

  • INSTRUCT: first and second semester
  • PLACE: third semester
  • BUILD: fourth semester
  • ENQUIRE: fifth semester
  • EXPLORE: sixth semester

Each semester allows students to focus attention on interdisciplinary skills grouped in order to gain coherence and consistency to the bachelor’s degree. Students will come to understand the importance of connecting different knowledge together.
