About the program
The LLM in International Trade Law at UCT is a professional Master’s degree that focuses on the legal aspects of international trade and commerce.
Course Content
The course consists of the following modules:
- Two compulsory courses: Law of International Trade and International Commercial Transactions Law.
- Two elective courses: You can choose from Carriage of Goods by Sea, Commercial Arbitration, Competition Law, Law, Regional Integration and Development in Africa, or Chinese Law and Investments in Africa.
- Four research tasks: Each research task is linked to one of the courses you take and demonstrates your professional expertise. The research tasks are worth 15 credits each and have a word limit of 10 000 words.
Entry Requirements
To apply for this programme, you will need to meet the admission requirements, which include having an LLB degree from a recognised institution and a minimum of 65% average in your final year of undergraduate study.
