Admission Requirements
(a) a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
and
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent.
Ranking and Selection Process
English competency
English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place.
Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.

Why study postgrad?
Course accreditation
The UWA Master of Landscape Architecture is accredited by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA). After finishing the Master of Landscape Architecture, graduates must complete at least two years of professional practice before being eligible to become a Registered Landscape Architect.
Landscape architect
To become a landscape architect, you will complete five years of study.
You'll learn to
- Create beautiful, functional and resilient places that combat climate change
- Design and plan for dynamic and enduring environments and communities
- Develop professional skills in critical thinking and interdisciplinary design approaches
- Apply knowledge in urban and landscape ecology and design, professional documentation and practice, and theoretical foundations of landscape architecture

- Studio spaces
- Design Hub, a working space with senior student mentors available for assistance

Digital fabrication equipment such as plastic extrusion 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC milling machines
