MFA

3-Year Program

In addition to MFA Directing-specific seminars and labs, students participate extensively in the Acting Program as well as in the Programs in Experience Design and Production. They are further encouraged to take classes offered by other CalArts schools. Many MFA candidates engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with students throughout CalArts, while others take advantage of the many internship opportunities offered through the Institute.

All MFA Directing students are required to pass a Mid-Residence and Graduation Review in order to complete the Program and obtain their degree.
