The Stage Management program is a pre-professional program designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the theatre or to continue their education at the graduate level.

B.F.A. students have the opportunity to stage manage or assistant stage manage a production each semester. As an undergraduate program, students do not compete with graduate students for stage management assignments. In the classroom, our students study directly with professors, not graduate assistants.

The goal of the B.F.A. Stage Management Program is to provide students the necessary training and practical experience necessary to become successful theatre artist.  In addition to course in stage management, the curriulum also includes classes in design, directing and theatre management.  There is room in the course schedule to select electives that will help each individual students develop his or her own unique talents and interests.

Graduates of the Stage Management program are working on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in regional theatres, opera, and professional touring productions.
