High-Tech Nursing

Curry is a leader in the use of robust simulation to prepare students for practice. Students experience simulation-based education using manikins, standardized patients, and virtual applications to develop clinical judgment,compassion, and communication skills.

Curry College's location in the Boston metropolitan area creates the perfect opportunity for you to experience dynamic, hands-on learning at some of the best medical facilities in the world. Beginning sophomore year, you gain experience in a wide range of urban and suburban institutions as you complete your six semesters of required clinical work including pediatrics, maternity, mental health rotations, and more. Clinical Experience Details:

  • We maintain a maximum 6:1 student to faculty ratio during clinical rotations.
  • Students participate in 6 semesters of clinical learning.
  • The School of Nursing maintains relationships with many clinical partners including area hospitals, healthcare providers, and community-focused agencies.

In addition to clinical placements, Curry nursing students can gain valuable experience engaging in simulated patient care scenarios, participating in disaster drills at local hospitals, and even traveling to France or Ireland to study health policy.
