"The interconnectedness between nation states and the rise of private economic players and other global actors require students of international relations to pursue a multi-disciplinary approach in order to confront today’s global challenges. The interdisciplinary MAIS programme, combining the fields of politics, law, history and economics, offers students a curriculum that equips them to meet these requirements."

"In our globalising world, politics, policy and polity increasingly transcend the nation state, giving rise to complex regional and global political dynamics. Uncovering our chances of channelling these dynamics into legitimate and just arrangements of 21st century governance is one of the great challenges of our times."
