Information for prospective students of Computer Science (B.Sc.)

The goal of this degree course is to optimally prepare you for instance in the implementation of extensive IT systems, in the concept development of modern procedures of IT and their implementation with adequate tools and in the consultation and support of information technological questions.

You will acquire basic expert skills that can be applied to computer science and its applications during the six-semester program. The lectures of the third and fourth semester will be held in English. The degree course offers an in-depth and practical training in programming and software engineering with a focus on operating systems, data bases and networks. Basic subjects are among others digital technology, statistics and numerics. The application takes place in projects, in a practical phase and in the Bachelor thesis. After the successfully completed thesis with colloquium you will attain the academic degree 'Bachelor of Science'.

Part-time studies

Students, whose course of study has deviated from the regular course of full-time studies – for whatever reason – can seek personal counseling from the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.

Goal of the counseling is, while considering personal conditions of an individual course of study, to graduate in an appropriate period of time. In order to reach this goal, we will develop a course plan together with you.

It is also checked whether there are reasons for a formal application of part-time studies. Additional information about the requirements and study organization of part-time studies can be found on the pages of the Admissions office.

The consultation is offered by the degree course counselors or the degree counselor of your degree course. Please schedule an appointment via email.

Prospects

You will be qualified for demanding tasks in the economy, technology and administration sector as a graduate of this degree course. General IT specialists are the most sought after on the job market among the IT experts.
