Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business offers an online MBA program that is ranked among Poets and Quants Top 20 online MBA programs in the nation and is the highest ranked program in the New York metro area – designed for busy professionals who need a flexible option to advance their careers. Finish your MBA in Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Business Management, or Strategic Healthcare Management in as little as 16 months. Our program includes an optional global practicum, scientifically designed executive coaching, and two four-day residencies where you will connect with faculty, classmates, industry executives, and notable Hofstra alumni through corporate visits in New York City. GMAT waivers are available for candidates with a qualifying academic and professional background who have earned an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Additional waivers may be available upon application review. Scholarships are available for qualified candidates and professionals are encouraged to check with their employer for additional tuition benefits.

Start your Graduate Business Application online where you can upload the following documents:

  • Transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. Submit copies online to be used for your application review, but official transcripts will be required once you’re accepted into the program.  
  • Résumé listing your professional experiences, including increasing levels of responsibility, leadership potential, and commitment to professional education.
  • Contact information for three professional recommendations.
  • GMAT or GRE scores (School Code: 2295). GMAT waivers are available for candidates with a qualifying academic and professional background who have earned an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Additional waivers may be available upon application review.

Preference is given to applicants with:

  • High undergraduate GPAs and/or strong test scores on the GMAT or GRE
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience
  • High promise of success in the program

Please note: No specific undergraduate course of study is required for admission.

International students: Please be aware that F-1 Visas may not be issued for this program.

Applications are accepted to the Online MBA program for the spring (part-time only) and fall semesters (full-time or part-time). We encourage you to submit your application well before the semester start dates as there are limited seats available in the cohort. Following these dates, applications are reviewed on a space-available basis. Candidates are encouraged to apply early in the cycle for scholarship consideration.

*Applications for the part-time Spring cohort open in early-August and are reviewed on a rolling basis.

The Zarb Online MBA program is a 36-credit MBA with courses that cover every area of business. Courses are rigorous and relevant.

Kaushik Sengupta

Kaushik Sengupta

Dr. Sengupta is Chair, Department of Management & Entrepreneurship and Professor at the Zarb School of Business. Since 2011, Dr. Sengupta has been the Executive Director of the Online MBA Program. Dr. Sengupta's teaching and research are in the areas of operations management and supply chain management. He is involved with teaching and curriculum development for the BBA, MBA and Executive MBA programs. Dr. Sengupta's current focus areas of research are in the analysis of supply chain management trends and practices, and analysis of industry wide similarities and differences in supply chain practices.
