About the program
Throughout Law and Policy Pre-Law at Liberty University you will conduct in-depth study into legal research methods and legal writing. You will learn how to write legal briefs using the standard forms used today.
A great deal of attention is given to understanding the various types of civil procedures and laws like torts, property, and contracts. You will be made familiar with criminal law and procedure as you study the fundamental curriculum that will help you be successful in your future studies and career.
We seek to instill the qualities of duty, honor, and morality in our students. Our professors instruct from a conservative Christian perspective and hope to help you build a solid foundation on which to build your legal career. By keeping to the principles first espoused by our school’s namesake, Senator Jesse Helms, we endeavor to assist you in making a significant impact for Christ in the legal profession.

Minimum requirements
Admission decisions are competitive and are based primarily on the following factors:
- Cumulative (unweighted) GPA from high school or college
- GED scores (if applicable)
- Consistency and trends of grades
- Results from the SAT, ACT, or CLT
- Essay submission
50% of admitted students come from within the following mid-ranges:
- High School GPA: 3.15-3.83
- SAT (ERW* and math only): 1020-1220
- ACT composite: 20-27
