What is Marketing?
First, it is a degree and career field where we are placing nearly 85% of our students within 90 days of graduation. Many have multiple offers before graduation. Average starting salary is $50,000.
Second, it is the management of processes responsible for identifying, anticipating, and satisfying customer requirements profitably. It covers all the processes involved in successfully promoting and selling a product or service.
- Marketing encompasses many activities including: Market Research, Pricing, Packaging, Advertising, Sales, Distribution, Research and Development.
- You may work for manufacturing organizations, financial or professional service firms, charitable organizations, or public institutions.
- Marketing is the engagement that brings a buyer and seller together to create high levels of customer satisfaction and continued engagement.
