WHAT YOU WILL LEARN — TEACHING CERTIFICATION

If you want to have the state of Kentucky teaching license to work with children (birth through five years) with and without special needs, the Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) program is for you! You will learn how to develop engaging, hands-on activities and collaborate with adults (families and other professionals) to help young children develop and learn.

Beyond the Classroom

You will have opportunities to spend time in a variety of early childhood settings, getting to know what it is like to be a classroom teacher, home visitor and so much more.

In your courses, you will interview early childhood teachers and administrators, observe children ages birth – 5 years, and conduct projects with young children.
