Program Overview

Technological progress has triggered a demand for radiologist assistants with the specialized skills and the broad knowledge necessary to work effectively in teams of physicians and other health care professionals. Our master’s degree program will prepare you as an advanced practitioner within the radiology environment trained to take part in the care of patients in this discipline and perform a broad spectrum of minimally invasive radiology-specific procedures.

As a radiologist assistant, you’ll function as a critical extension of the supervising radiologist physician. Through our collaborative, interdisciplinary approach, you’ll develop and hone the skills necessary to be a successful RA upon completion of the program.

Our 24-month MHS program for radiologist assistants is the only program of its kind in Connecticut and the only one in the country with a board-certified radiologist serving as its director. You’ll receive plenty of hands-on learning in our sophisticated labs, and there is a significant clinical component where you’ll have opportunities to work with real patients in sites Quinnipiac arranges in areas including, but not limited to Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
