Introduction

Our Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Sciences program provides a strong foundation for students interested in health and wellness fields.

You will learn the skills needed to start training in a variety of health care careers that require advanced education.

Coursework can be tailored to focus on leadership and community wellness. Or you can focus on medical sciences.

From 2015-2020, 72% of our graduates were accepted into doctorate or master’s programs.

The following are just some of the fields our graduates enter:

You learn from faculty who are also practitioners at one of the nation’s top academic medical centers, RUSH University Medical Center.

Our low student-to-faculty ratio ensures you will receive individualized attention.

At RUSH, you we believe in a collaborative approach to health care. You will be exposed to various types of health care fields and learn about their responsibilities.

We have an excellent reputation in Chicago and maintain partnerships with many organizations in the area.

Program Length and Location

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Sciences program can be completed in 21 months if you attend full-time.

The program, though, can also be completed part-time. This makes it an excellent option for students who have already started a career and are returning to school.

All students must earn 60 credits to complete the program.

  • After being laid off during the Great Recession, Natalia Wright vowed to earn a college degree so she could provide a more stable life for her son. Now she has been accepted into the generalist entry master’s (GEM) program at RUSH University’s College of Nursing, one of the nation’s highest-ranked nursing schools, after earning a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from RUSH.
