Musculoskeletal Management

You will develop better musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment and management skills of the upper limb to help get the best patient outcomes. You will develop a patient-centred approach to the assessment and management of patients with upper limb disorders and improve your communication with patients.

In this module you will develop musculoskeletal clinical management skills of the lower limb. You will be able to improve your communication for patients with lower limb disorders.

In this module, you'll gain advanced assessment and triage skills, particularly for assessment of the spinal regions. You'll develop a patient-centred, biopsychosocial approach for assessing and managing patients. You'll learn to maximise the outcomes for musculoskeletal disorder patients.

As an allied health professional (AHP), this module will enable you to critically examine critically the theory and practice of leadership. You'll specifically focus on leading people, services and organisation, reflecting on the impact of your own leadership approach.

This module aims to provide you with the opportunity to develop and apply research methodologies in a specific area of interest within the field of professional practice and help build your confidence in conducting independent research activities.

This module will provide you with the opportunity to explore the role of physical activity in maintenance of health, the prevention of disease and the management of a range of significant disorders.

The module provides a period of professional experience in a ‘Health’ related setting and is intended to offer an opportunity for critical reflection of the Post Grad Professional’s (PGP’s) sphere of practice with specific focus to an area of interest.

This module aims to equip you with the knowledge, techniques, and skills for undertaking research projects and developing a critical understanding of research concepts. You'll then apply these skills to practical research problems within your area of practice.

You will develop knowledge of aetiology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, clinical features and diagnostic procedures for common rheumatological musculoskeletal conditions using a patient centred and evidence-based approach.

This module prepares healthcare professionals such as nurses, midwives, pharmacists and allied health professionals to practice as independent prescribers as well as supplementary prescribers. You will use the relevant professional standards set by the relevant council for each profession.

To study this module, you must be an appropriately trained and qualified health professional with at least 3 years’ experience and be currently working in the relevant specialist field as you require patient access for assessments.

This module aims to equip practitioners to practise and evaluate musculoskeletal injection therapy safely and in accordance with current evidence base. Develop advanced clinical reasoning skills to select appropriate patients for injection therapy within a broader framework of musculoskeletal management. To study this module, you must be an appropriately trained and qualified health professional with at least 3 years experience and be currently working in the relevant specialist field as you require patient access for assessments.
