Description


The Master Course in Nursing enables the student to acquire historical, theoretical and philosophical knowledge, which constitutes the basis of nursing epistemology, as well as scientific skills and competence supported in the research of specificities and diversities of professional practice in different contexts of intervention, articulating and integrating knowledge and skills to provide a better nursing healthcare and high quality service to satisfy the citizens' needs.  

Access to higher education


The Master course in Nursing allows the access to Doctoral courses in the same scientific field, or in other areas.

Careers


Holders of a Master degree in Nursing carry out professional activities as freelancers or in national/international public/private institutions, such as: general hospitals; specialised hospitals (in the area of paediatrics, psychiatry, physical and rehabilitation medicine, maternities, ...); healthcare centres; enterprises, kindergartens and schools; medical and nursing clinics, etc.

Entry requirements


To access to this study cycle the candidate must:
- Be holders of a degree in Nursing or legal equivalent degree;
- Be holders of a foreign academic university degree in Nursing conferred by a 1st study cycle, organised following the Bologna Process, by a estate member which has also adopted this process;
- Be holders of a recognised foreign academic university degree which satisfies the objectives and nature of a degree in Nursing;
- Be holders of an academic/professional curriculum in the scientific area of Nursing which is recognised and attesting the capacity to carry out this study cycle by the Technical-Scientific Committee of the institution/school where the candidate will attend the course.
