Post-graduate profile

At the end of the course, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in exercise physiology or physical activity and health and apply the knowledge and skills to analyze the basic and applied research and/or to measure exercise, fitness and health using appropriate standardized metrics.
Some students could pursue further academic or scientific study in the field. The master prepares the students to develop their skills in conducting scientific research culminating in a research laboratory placement associated with a final year research report.
Some other students will be focused on acquiring the experiential skills necessary to prepare students for entry into the health and exercise field (e.g., exercise physiologist, clinical rehabilitation specialist, worksite wellness director, etc.). A long placement in the 2nd semester provides students with an opportunity to strengthen their scientific knowledge and practical skills in the workplace, hospital environment, etc and prepare students for future entry into the health and exercise field.
