Admission Requirements
(a) the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine from this University, or equivalent as recognised by UWA;
or
(b) a Bachelor of Dental Science or Doctor of Dental Medicine, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
(c)(i)a bachelor's degree in a health, biomedical, or biological sciences related discipline from this University or another recognised institution; and
(ii) in the case of graduates from a three-year undergraduate degree course, at least one year of professional experience;
or
(c) completed the Graduate Certificate in Health Professional/Professions Education or the Graduate Diploma in Health Professional/Professions Education from this University with the equivalent of at least 70 per cent in all core units
English competency
English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place.
This course has higher ELC requirements. Applicants presenting with the IELTS Academic require an overall score of at least 7.0 and no band less than 6.5. For more information visit ELC requirements.

About the course
The aim of the Masters course is to extend students beyond the Graduate Certificate and Diploma levels with a greater focus on developing research skills in health professions education.

The volunteers had their clinical-assessment skills rapidly sharpened by the lack of diagnostic tools at their disposal, and drew on their collective experience to brainstorm diagnoses and treatment options. The knowledge Kirsty had acquired through the Master of Health Professions Education provided her with a range of skills, including inter-professional collaboration, teaching assessment and feedback strategies. These were all helpful in mentoring the local health workers and collaborating effectively with the other health professionals in her volunteer group.
