Industrial Systems Analytics

Are you curious about how complex industrial systems work? Are industrial systems design and analytics your passion? Do you want to solve the data problems of today’s businesses?

The topics taught in Industrial Systems Analytics include data science and analytics, quality engineering, systems engineering, six sigma, decision support, and project management.

After completing the degree, you will be able to

  • produce knowledge and insights from energy system data
  • develop and operate high quality standard for energy operations
  • design and operate successful energy systems
  • include quantitative and qualitative input streams for decision making
  • plan and manage projects in the energy field

The studies prepare you for developing and managing product and service innovation for industrial energy systems, delivery, and use. Successful completion of Lean Six Sigma Statistical Control course issues a certificate of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. 

Courses consist of lectures, teamwork assignments, projects, presentations, and final exams. The degree includes both online and in-class teaching. This is a full-time on-campus programme taking place in Vaasa. Some courses are offered in hybrid mode for the final year spring to support also online participation.

Having previous studies in subjects like industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a similar engineering field will set you up for success. Please note that a business degree is not considered appropriate unless it includes a sufficient amount of relevant studies in technology (55%).
