Educational Administration and Supervision

The program in Educational Administration and Supervision offers three Master’s programs of study that lead to the Master of Science, and Master of Education degrees. All candidates admitted to the Master of Science or the Master of Education (Licensure) in Educational Administration and Supervision program are working toward an endorsement as a school administrator. The Master of Science degree requires the completion of 36 hours of stated required courses, an internship, and a thesis. The Master of Education (Licensure) degree requires the completion of 36 hours of stated required courses, an internship, and a comprehensive examination. Both programs require all candidates to take and pass the School Leaders Licensure Assessment Exam prior to graduation. The Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision degree with a concentration in Organizational Leadership is designed to prepare candidates for careers in non-profit and community leadership. It is offered to candidates who do not seek an endorsement to work in PK-12 schools and enables candidates to acquire knowledge and develop competencies that will make them effective leaders at any level of an organization. Candidates will take 18 hours of MED/MS in Educational Administration and Supervision core curriculum. The remaining 18 hours will be taken in 500-level courses that focus on the development of leaders of non-profit or community-based organizations.
