Modules

UK degrees are three years long whereas in China they are four, therefore we do accept students with certain qualifications directly into Year Two, which is the start of the main academic programme. Most students, however, enter into Year One, which provides you with a range of interesting modules, language classes and core skills for your degree.

The aspect of the Art and Technology field that I find most interesting is how technology is used as a tool for artistic creation, such as in digital art, virtual reality art, and AI creation. These greatly expand the expressive boundaries and possibilities of art.

Project-based learning allows me to freely dive into the development of artworks.

He Li

Year 2

Thanks to our degree, I was able to study many different directions in art, which helped me broaden my horizons and discover new personality traits in myself. I was able to meet wonderful people, my classmates, who share my interests and tell me a lot of new things. That's so awesome. Teachers communicate with students equally, they are always ready to provide real help.

The myriad of modules available in ATE allow us to not only develop our hard skills but also explore new technologies and alternative mediums we would otherwise gloss over. The course expands the tools and connections at our disposal. It ultimately serves to make our art more technically complex, conceptually engaging, and, personally, all around more fun.
